NRA and Other Classes Taught and Certifications Held

Bob has been certified by the National Rifle Association as an instructor in all the Pistol disciplines. This means Bob has fully qualified to teach and certify students in the NRA courses First Steps, Home Firearm Safety, Basic Pistol and Personal Protection in the Home and the NRA's newest advanced course Personal Protection Outside the Home . Bob is also an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer, Refuse to be a Victim Instructor and is a Certified Safety Officer for the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA).

In addition to his NRA training, REJ Firearms Training, a division of Bob's Minnesota LLC Robert E Jahn, LLC, has been certified by Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as an approved training organization under the Minnesota Personal Protection Act. He and persons and approved by his LLC are therefore empowered to certify persons as qualified for the Minnesota Permit to Carry. Bob is also authorized by the Monticello Sportmans club and has help train over a hundred people as part of their Permit to Carry training team.

Bob is also certified by the State of Utah as a Concealed Firearms Instructor. As a founder, president and chair of the Twin Cities IDPA Chapter Bob understands defensive shooting for civilians. Bob is a frequent competitor and continually learning. Safety, customized training and the practical applications of skills taught are the key to success in these classes.

We believe in small class sizes and getting our students totally involved in the course material. We understand that people have different backgrounds, learn at different rates and through different techniques. Count on lots of class interaction and a chance to see and practice what we discuss. We will respect your opinions and address your concerns. This applies not only in the classroom, but we are always open to student questions, issues and concerns.

I'm a civilian gun owner and have carried for several years in Minnesota. I have literally hundreds of hours of pistol training and competitive shooting experience. I have been to many different courses and can share the day to day carry issues a permitee faces in Minnesota. I am also active in a number of sport shooting and gun rights organizations. You'll get high quality training and good coverage of laws and concerns faced by civilians. Minnesota and other applicable laws are covered in detail in the carry classes
