Who are we and what do we do?
We are all National Rifle Association (NRA) certified instructors in good standing who have spent years developing their knowledge of firearms and training skills, so we can train you safely and effectively. All of our instructors are active in IDPA, we shoot frequently and have extensive training in competitive and tactical shooting.
What's New on the Site?
Bob Jahn and Jon Thompson have been busy training this year. In June they spent 30 hours becoming among the first Certifiied Instructors authorized the teach the NRA's exciting new Personal Protection Outside the Home Class.
This cases teaches you to work with a variety of holster, fanny pack, holster purse and various other concealment devices. We'll be offering this advanced course Starting in September and believe it will be the perfect course for well qualified students and persons needing to renew their permit.
Bob and Jon will also be traveling to take aa defensive handgun class from Internationally known author and defensive use of firearms expert Jon Farnam in August of this year. Look for Farnam's tactics and hard learned lessons to show up in our new September class.
Lastly , all of our instructors are traveling to Wisconsin to represent our club and state in the Wisconsin State IDPA match. Our congrats to Jon Thompson whop just earned his Sharpshooter Classification in IDPA's stock Service Pistol division.
How Are We Qualified and by Who has Certified Our Instructors
REJ Firearms Training, a division of REJ Professional Services Corporation, has been fully qualified by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as an approved organization certified to train instructors in the Minnesota Personal Protection Act. However, REJ goes further than required by Minnesota statute and requires all its instructors to be certified by the NRA in their advanced course in Personal Protection in the Home.
The NRA has long been recognized as the gold standard in firearms training. In addition to their NRA training, our instructors all have current training from nationally recognized tactical and competitive shooting programs.
